We offer:

• A 78-acre forest site in southern Douglas County providing field opportunities for inquiry-based learning, supported by classroom and online activities (click here for group site use form)
• Twice-annual training in outdoor education curricula (Project Learning Tree and Project WILD) in conjunction with the Oregon Natural Resource Education Program. Our next workshop is scheduled for Monday June 14: A Watershed Approach to Forests and Technology (click here to register).

Here are some ACCF activities your students can do right now online!

• A virtual tour of the ACCF site, complete with 360 degree panoramic views and a treasure-hunt format to encourage learning about forests and forestry
• A simple forest quiz, consisting of puzzle pictures we and your students have taken on the ACCF site and Alder-Jordan Creek watershed

One major initiative we are currently developing is Oregon Explorers, a field, classroom, and computer-based opportunity for youth to learn about Oregon’s natural resources and watersheds and contribute to their sustainable use. We are piloting Oregon Explorers at ACCF over the next few years, and invite you to join us! Please visit our Oregon Explorers Moodle page, part of the Oregon Virtual School District.
