We ended Wednesday by discussing applications of the GIS modules and related ACCF resources to educational settings, with ideas ranging from input of field data to geocaching expeditions! (Good thing we spent Wednesday afternoon inside; the temperature was over 100 degress when we left at 5 PM.) The SATI continued for one more day, with participants developing their own curricula and lesson plans on Thursday, with assistance from Frank Braudt, retired administrator from the South Umpqua School District. Great work, teachers, and many thanks to all the technical experts who volunteered their assistance this week. We look forward to an exciting school year of implementing all we learned!
